Nickel Communications won big Thursday, February 21 at the 2013 American Advertising Federation Suncoast ADDY Awards. As one of the newest agencies to hit the sands of Sarasota, Nickel Communications proudly walked away with five gold ADDY Awards in the categories of integrated public service, consumer advertising in print, non-traditional advertising, online application, self- promotion, and a silver ADDY in public service single-medium print.  Awards were won for client campaigns including Girls Inc’s Power of Girl, Family Healing Center’s Re-Discover Your Well and the APPetite Facebook application. Follow the Creative Brief!

The AAF Suncoast packed the Polo Grill for it's kick off to ADDY season with an insightful and informative panel of experts on How to Win an ADDY. Sam Stern, CEO/Chief Brandtrepreneur  of CAP Brand Marketing, Angela Massaro-Fain, President & Partner of Grapevine Communications , and Richard Skiermont, Creative Director at Clarke Advertising & Public Relations shared their experiences in building award winning campaigns. Moderated by Art Mahoney, our biggest take away from the panel was to "Stick to the Creative Brief."  With the right strategy and understanding of the clients objectives, the creative will evolve to engage consumers. As we grow we are always looking to improve and we are very thankful to the AAF for putting on anther strong program. Christina Captain, AP, DOM has put together more than 30 wellness tips and recipes that share important, but generally unknown information about everything from grains to supplements to dairy products and even wine.

Starting this month you can also join Christina Captain on a healthful holiday shopping excursion at Earth Origins Market on Saturday, November 17. Christina will travel through the store educating participants on important nutrition and product information that comes with her many years of nutritional studies.

Invest in the Power of Girls

Today marks the official launch of Girls Inc. of Sarasota County's Invest in the Power of Girls capital campaign. The campaign creative, production, motion and still photography and website are the result of the collaboration between Nickel Communications, Alex Stafford Photography and Vivian Owen.

"There is an expression in our industry,' give two creatives and a six pack and you can solve any problem,' and that is exactly what happened in this instance," shared Lindsey Nickel-de la O, creative partner.

Girls Inc. came to Nickel Communications with idea for creating a capital campaign around the promotion of its Microsociety and workforce readiness programs. After reaching out to Stafford and Owen, the team developedInvest in the Power of Girls.

The campaign focuses on communicating the message that what Girls Inc. does today directly correlates to the future of every girl in its programs. They hold the workforce of tomorrow. Every business who donates or sponsors Girls Inc. programs are  making an investment with 100% return to your future workforce.
